They return to England after the Crusades. Robin Hood is an old man when he comes back with his best friend Little John. Maid Marian has gone to a nunnery, King Richard is insane, his Brother John is a fool, and Robin hasn't had a great adventure in years. The Sheriff of Nottingham attacks Sherwood again, so Robin Hood gathers his loyal men and a band of peasants to fight oppression in this high-spirited adventure in which Robin Hood and Maid Marian rediscover their love. This is a good movie.
