Rufus
He has changed schools and is finding it difficult to integrate into the new environment. Manny discovers an unusual collar and attaches it to Rufus, the family dog, after wishing he had a larger circle of pals. Rufus transforms into a little boy all of a sudden! Manny is unsure about what to do, so he enrolls Rufus in a local school system. Because of Rufus's amusing dog behaviors, which include tail-chaseing squirrels, eating without utensils, begging for belly rubs, and even grabbing a soccer ball with his mouth, he quickly becomes the most popular kid in school. Manny is initially envious of his new closest friend, but he soon realizes that a dog's loyalty to his owner always comes first in any situation.
