Saving Mother Robot
Taipei, Taiwan, December 2012. With temperatures in the 30s, the city is experiencing an extraordinary winter heatwave. Tsui Yi (Vivian Hsu),36, is a divorced mother of an eight-year-old boy named Tiger (Antoine). Cao Yi is trying to make ends meet because of her employment as a magazine editor and reduced alimony payments from her ex-husband (Tang Kuo-chung). Tiger does not do well in school and his art instructor (Mini Yang) is concerned about the dark pictures he creates in class since he has a hyper-active imagination and sees himself as a broken-down robot in need of replacement.
