Scrooge
Until Christmas Eve, when he is visited by three ghosts, Ebenezer Scrooge (Alastair Sim) leads a carefree existence as a heartless miser. The ghosts reveal how his actions over the years have rendered him a lonely, resentful old man with a hardened heart. Using incidents from Scrooge's idealistic past, miserable present, and foreboding future, the apparitions do their best to soften his icy heart. Through the intervention of the ghost of his former partner and the three spirits, miserly Ebenezer Scrooge realizes the folly of his ways and, just in time for the holidays, manages to make everyone's lives a bit brighter, even his own! (The Title is now "A Christmas Carol.")
