Shirkers
Sandi Tan, a teenager at the time, collaborated with her enigmatic American tutor Georges to make Singapore's first independent road movie in 1992 — after which Georges vanished with all of the material. Almost two decades later, the 16mm film is discovered, propelling Tan, now a successful novelist based in Los Angeles, on a personal adventure in quest of Georges' disappearing footprints.
