Ken and his mother had recently relocated from Kansas. He flirts with a woman named Julie, unaware that her boyfriend, Tom, is quite jealous of her. One of Lee's students, a sensei named Billy, shot and murdered his brother in the line of duty. Billy has since become the school's janitor, where Ken, Julie, and Tom all attend. The fight between sensei vs. sensei and student vs. student erupts when Tom beats Ken for talking to Julie again. Billy steps in to help Ken learn how to protect himself.
