In order to develop their idea for a silent picture, aspiring filmmakers Mel Funn, Marty Eggs, and Dom Bell visit a studio that is experiencing financial difficulties. In an attempt to increase the marketability of the film, they attempt to recruit a number of big-name stars to appear in it, while the studio's creditors attempt to prevent them from doing so. There is only one line of conversation in the film, and it is spoken by an odd source.
