Sound! Euphonium the Movie - Our Promise: A Brand New Day
Kumiko is now in her second year of study and is one of the more experienced members of the euphonium section. With the addition of new underclassmen to the concert band, Kumiko will be forced to learn new skills in order to cope with awkward and tough underclassmen in the future. She and third-year trumpeter Tomoe Kabe have been selected to serve as the group's leaders for the new underclassmen. Kumiko's bass section has welcomed euphonist Kanade Hisaishi, whose outward appearances are deceiving; tuba player Mirei Suzuki, who is struggling to adjust to her new surroundings; tuba player Satsuki Suzuki, who is trying to get along with Mirei; and double bassist Motomu Tsukinaga, who is unable to express himself. As soon as the Sunrise Festival, chair placement auditions, and the competition are completed, a slew of issues begin to surface.
