The story revolves around Mike, a young American tourist who travels to a remote Spanish community in search of his lost friend during the scorching summer months. He falls involved with a seductive local woman who quickly becomes obsessed with him. In the process of evacuating, Mike discovers that the tragedy is far worse than he could have imagined.
