The Assent

Joel, a young single parent, begins to suspect that his little son may be possessed following a series of horrific unexplained incidents in his home. Joel is soon visited by Father Lambert, a town's controversial exorcist whose most recent patient died during his treatment. As horrific events unfold, the priest warns a recalcitrant Joel that unless he successfully performs an exorcism, the devil would soon seize complete possession of his son.
