In exchange for having his $27,000 credit card debt paid off, struggling actor John Person agrees to drive a blue suitcase from Los Angeles to the small town of Baker, Calif., and give it to a mysterious cowboy. John can't find the cowboy when he gets there, but he does get a package in the shape of a scary-looking head that he's supposed to hold on to. While John is waiting, he gets close to Ruthie, whose crazy boyfriend Randy keeps saying he will kill John.
