Jake Blues has recently been released from prison, and he and his brother Elwood have decided to embark on a so-called "mission from God" to raise money for the orphanage in which they both spent their formative years. Playing music is the one and only thing that they are capable of doing, as this is what they excel at. As a result, they reunite their old band and embark on their journey, all the while getting themselves into a little bit of trouble here and there.
