An Italian 14-year-old member of the small Romani community in southern Italy, Pio Amato, wants to hurry up and grow up so that he can go to school. From Cosimo, Pio learns how to hustle and how to get around the streets in his home town. One night, Pio wants to show his brother that he is as good as or better than him. When things go wrong, a series of events will change the way he sees the world for good.
