Teen Ben Mockridge really feels life in a Wild West ranch town has nothing far better to provide then horse-cart racing with other hicks, so he naively begs cattle firm proprietor Frank Culpepper to engage him as youngest cowboy for a lengthy cattle route to a ft, his mother barely notices.
