Kuzco is a self-centered ruler who summons Pacha from a village to burn his home for his summer home. Yzma, Kuzco's counselor, unintentionally poisons him and turns him into a llama who ends up in Pacha's tribe. Pacha agrees to aid Kuzco in exchange for him not destroying his home, and the two create an unexpected alliance.
