The Family
"The Family," an album with a velvet cover, is meant to reach out to the man's family. This 80-year-old story starts with the baptism of Carlo, a baby in his grandfather's lap. At the end, Carlo is a grandfather, holding a baby. The formal portraits are the bookends to the main story. And we never leave the house, which serves as the movie's structure, for any length of time, either. Comfort, or passion, which do you want? In the end, Carlo didn't know for sure until it was too late.
