Amy, a defiant girl, defies her parents by attending a trashy carnival that has arrived in town. Buzz, her boyfriend, and their friends Liz and Richie are accompanying her. The youngsters witness a murder by a deformed worker wearing a mask while thinking it would be amusing to spend the night in the campy "Funhouse" horror ride. Amy and her companions are trapped inside, and they must escape before the carnival leaves town the next day.
