Mallory Doss, a member of the catering staff for Rick Magruder's courtroom victory party in Savannah, realizes that her car has been stolen. He offers to drive her after a few beers and it evolves into a one-night stand. Rick soon finds out that Dixon, her psychotic father, has started threatening her once more. Mallory gets her law firm's full support from Rick, who has Dixon arrested and subpoenas her abusive ex-husband Pete to testify against the elderly man. Dixon is being held in a mental institution. Even yet, he soon escapes, putting the lives of those who conspired against him in danger.
