Britt Reid is the heir to the largest newspaper empire in Los Angeles. Britt (Jay Chou) meets Kato (Tom Wilkinson), a clever company employee, after the death of his father (Tom Wilkinson). Britt and Kato get up as costumed crime fighters after coming to the conclusion that they possess the ability as well as the means necessary to make something of their lives. Their goal is to bring down Chudnofsky, the most powerful crook in the city (Christoph Waltz).
