In search of refuge from a storm, Thunder finds himself in the most bizarre house imaginable, which is owned by an elderly magician and inhabited by a dizzying collection of automatons and gizmos. Thunder is a young cat that has been abandoned and is in need of shelter. Because Jack Rabbit and Maggie Mouse are plotting to oust Thunder from the troupe, not everyone is pleased with the newcomer. When the magician is sent to the hospital, his conniving nephew sees an opportunity to cash money by selling the mansion, the situation becomes even worse. A group of zany magician's assistants come to the aid of our young hero, who is desperate to earn his position in the magical world.
