The Infernal Trio
Marseilles, 1919. A famous and well-respected attorney, Georges Sarret was recently honored for his contributions to the war effort during the First World War. He begins a relationship with Philomène Schmidt, a young German woman who has recently been made homeless and has lost both her job and her home. Georges finds Philomène a husband who conveniently passes away from natural causes a month after the couple's wedding so that Philomène can continue to live in France. Georges repeats the same with Philomène's sister, Catherine, by marrying her off to an elderly man who dies unexpectedly in order for the conniving trio to profit from the life insurance policy he leaves behind. After receiving a threat of blackmail from a participant in the scheme named Marcel Chambon, Georges and his two loves are left with little choice but to assassinate him and his mistress.
