The Last Reef: Cities Beneath the Sea
Oscar-nominated creators of Broadway show STOMP and the award-winning film Wild Ocean made The Last Reef, which is a big-format and 3D movie that shows a natural wonder. These biodiversity hotspots are as important to our lives as the rainforests. They have exotic coral reefs, vibrant sea walls in the sub-arctic that are pulsing with anemones and crustaceans, and a lot of different kinds of fish. It was shot in Palau, Vancouver Island, French Polynesia, Mexico, and the Bahamas with cutting-edge 3D filmmaking. The Last Reef takes us on a global journey to see how our cities on land are connected to the complex, parallel world of coral reefs that are found beneath the surface of the water.
