Arthur Bishop is a seasoned assassin who considers himself an artist due to his proclivity for making his victims' deaths appear accidental. It's made him very wealthy, but as he approaches middle age, he's depressed and lonely, so he hires Steve McKenna, one of his victims' sons, as his apprentice. Arthur puts him through a tough training program and exposes him to a variety of hits. Arthur is concerned that as Steven improves, he will learn who murdered his father.
