The Laurel & Hardy Moving Co. is faced with a difficult task: transporting a player piano up a long flight of stairs to the home of Professor von Schwarzenhoffen. Because of the rude nursemaid and Professor von Schwarzenhoffen, their mission is made more difficult. Most of all, there's gravity, which keeps dragging the piano all the way to the bottom of the stairwell. An angry Professor explodes in wrath after discovering the "mechanical bazooka" in his house, unaware that it was his wife's birthday present.
