Although Gerda has triumphed over both the Snow Queen and the Snow King, she is still unable to find happiness. Her ambition is to track down her parents, who were previously separated by the North Wind, and bring the family back together. As a result, Gerda and her friends embark on an exciting quest to locate her parents, encountering new challenges along the way, including the discovery of an old magical item of the trolls known as the Stone of Fire and Ice, which they must use to defeat their adversaries. It is from that point on that things begin to deviate from the original plan. How long will it take Gerda to tame the powerful forces of the mystical elements and regain possession of her family?
