Ray, a construction worker who is stuck in an unhappy marriage, has an affair with Carla, his next-door neighbor. Greg, Carla's husband, is a mobster who maintains a big amount of drug money at their house. With this in mind, Carla devises a scheme: she and Ray will steal Greg's money, set fire to her house, deceive Greg into believing the money was lost in the fire, and then flee together. Carla's strategy, on the other hand, does not proceed as planned.
