Alice, a young hearing-impaired woman that, after a meant visitation from the Virgin Mary, is inexplicably able to listen to, talk as well as recover the sick. As word spreads and people from near and far group to witness her wonders, a disgraced reporter hoping to revitalize his occupation checks out the little New England town to investigate. When distressing occasions begin to occur all around, he begins to wonder about if these phenomena are the works of the Virgin Mary or something a lot more sinister.
