Molly Brown has weathered her first disaster— a flood. Sixteen years later, she embarks on a journey to find her place in the world. Is she capable of singing and playing the piano? Soon, she will marry Johnny Brown, who will be able to replace the cigar wrapper wedding band with a gold and jewel duplicate in a few years. However, acceptance into Denver society requires more than a few million bucks. The Browns travel to Europe and return with a few crowned heads for a banquet that devolved into a ballroom brawl. Molly travels alone to Europe and returns aboard the Titanic. The narrative does not finish here because she did not survive a flood as a baby.
