Security Affairs agent Jon is on a perilous assignment to transport a dangerous criminal scientist to another nation. The scientist is taken hostage by a member of Jon's crew who turns out to be a traitor and shoots him in the head. As soon as Jon wakes up in the hospital, doctors say the bullet in his head will bring paralysis within weeks. Reunited with his mother in Beijing for the first time in years, Jon learns from her that he has a brother in Malaysia who was reared by his gambling father. To find his brother Yeung, Jon boards a plane to Malaysia. On the plane, he develops a friendship with Dr. Kan, who makes a vow to look into treatment options for his ailment. Although Yeung tries to abduct the doctor when they arrive, Jon is kidnapped by him as well.
