Kelly Halligan relocated from New York to California with her 17-year-old niece in order to launch her new business. When her niece auditions for the soccer team, the two are introduced to Dominic, the squad's new athletic and gorgeous coach. Additionally, they meet the lovely but slightly unstable Maddie, a student who is also a member of the girl's high school soccer squad. While Kelly and Dominic develop feelings for one another, Dominic becomes the unwelcome center of attention for Maddie, who becomes obsessed with her new coach and begins sabotaging his and Kelly's lives after he declines her sexual advances.
