Jack has returned to the present day. In the meantime, he has lost Lena, and now he has discovered that he has lost his second wife Alice to none other than Harris. Something goes wrong with the TCL chamber as the crew prepares to leave on another job assignment. Jack discovers himself in a completely different dimension. He also comes across several different versions of trancers to contend with. It appears that these individuals have taken over command of the world. Jack is successful in assisting a rebel organization known as the "Tunnel Rats" in their efforts to overthrow the tyrannical Lord Calaban.
