Rose realizes that Payden Farms is in financial trouble and her parents are considering selling it to a cutthroat competitor when she meets Tom Novak, a handsome “flower broker.” Aiming to gain national exposure and revenue, Tom arranges for Frank to enter his prize tulip in an upcoming flower contest. In the midst of the competition, Rose's flowers inexplicably die. En route, she discovers her poor origins, reconciles with Frank, and develops a romantic interest in Tom. For Rose to find true happiness— and true love— she must either regain her green thumb or return to her small-town upbringing.
