Unemployed slacker and amateur drummer, Anthony Stoner, flees his overbearing parents and heads off on the open road, where he meets Pedro de Pacas, who is a kindred soul. In spite of the fact that Anthony and Pedro, the drug-abusing couple, are arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, they are released on bail and go on to participate in a rock band competition, where they perform the boisterous song "Earache My Eye."
