Vares - The Sheriff
Jussi Vares discovers two victims on the outskirts of Turku: a woman who has been shot in the head, and a man whose body is covered in runes that are identical to the slashes, indicating that the murder was part of a terrible ritual. An investigation into these homicides is launched by Vares a year later. As Varesta makes his way towards Turku's underworld godfather, sheriff, he is being guided by cable wires. The sheriff is the man who no one knows and with whom we don't speak. In his quest for the "jury," Vares comes perilously close to the secret underworld lord clubs, whose members believe that the human spirit is a cheap commodity. Vares gets too close to the truth when rummaging through the case.
