Warriors of the Rainbow: Seediq Bale - Part 1: The Sun Flag
Mouna Rudo was born and reared among the Seediq, a Taiwanese indigenous tribe, and became a member of the Seediq Bale, a brave band of native warriors, as he grew older. Rudo's way of existence, however, is jeopardized by Japanese invading forces, who took control of the country in 1895. Rudo thinks the moment has come to strike back as he watches his people's traditions and honor being stripped away, so in 1930 he gathers a group of former Seediq Bale soldiers, many of whom have been reduced to infighting, and forms a revolutionary army. When Rudo and his companions encounter Japanese occupation troops during a youth sporting event, the Seediq forces and their oppressors engage in a deadly conflict. Seediq Bale's Warriors of the Rainbow: Seediq Bale-Section1: The Sun Flag is the first part of the two-part, four-hour Taiwanese adaptation of the film Warriors of the Rainbow.
