Whale Island
Taiwan is a country on an island. Even though it is surrounded by water, the politics, history, and religious beliefs of the people on this island make them turn away from the sea. Liao Hung-chi, a writer of oceanic literature, and Ray Chin, an underwater photographer, take the audience out to sea and into the water. They make us want to learn more about the ocean and think about how it could affect our lives and the future of our country.
