16 and Pregnant

The American reality show 16 and Pregnant started on MTV on June 11, 2009. It tells the stories of high school girls who are pregnant and have to deal with the problems that come with that. Each episode is about a different teen girl, and it usually starts when she is between 4 1/2 and 8 months into her pregnancy. When the baby is a few months old, the experience usually ends. The show is made in a documentary style, and before each commercial break, an animation on notebook paper shows the highlights of the episode. Teen Mom, Teen Mom2, and Teen Mom 3 are all spin-offs of 16 and Pregnant. Each series shows how four girls from a different season of "16 and Pregnant" deal with their first years as mothers. As of July2013, auditions are being held for the fifth season of the show.
