A.N.T. Farm is a Disney Channel sitcom that debuted on May 6, 2011 as a special preview and continues on June 17, 2011 as a regular series. After the series finale of The Suite Life on Deck, the pilot episode "transplANTed" aired. Mr. Young was created by Dan Signer, a former writer and co-executive producer of The Suite Life on Deck and the creator of this sitcom. The series was given the go-ahead by Disney Channel in mid-November 2010, and filming began in the beginning of 2011. During the debut of Lemonade Mouth, the first advertisement was released. The series stars China and is set in San Francisco. Anne McClain, Sierra McCormick, and Jake Short are middle school students in the "Advanced Natural Talent" (A.N.T.) program at their local high school. The second season of A.N.T. Farm premiered on June 1, 2012, with two back-to-back episodes. The second season was officially renewed on November 30, 2011. On October 2, 2012, Disney Channel officially renewed A.N.T. Farm for a third season, which premiered on May 31, 2013. However, it was also confirmed that Carlon Jeffery would not be returning for the third season, and Aedin Mincks would be joining the main cast.
