Ishiyama High School is a school that is exclusively comprised of juvenile delinquents and is characterized by a pervasive culture of lawlessness and continual violent activity. There is, however, one rule that is well known and respected by everyone: never get in the way of first-year student Tatsumi Oga, Ishiyama's most ruthless combatant. One day, Oga is hanging out by the riverbed when he notices a man drifting downstream in the river. After being rescued by Oga, the guy splits down the center to reveal a baby, which quickly forms a bond to Oga after climbing onto his back. This infant, who has not yet learned his full name, is known as Kaiser de Emperana Beelzebub IV, or "Baby Beel" for short. He is the son of the Demon Lord, but he has no idea! Oga's encounter with Hildegard, Beel's demon maid, comes as if Oga's discovery of the future Lord of the Underworld wasn't already challenging enough. They cooperate in an effort to bring up Baby Beel, despite the fact that they are surrounded by adolescent criminals and demonic forces, which suggests that they may be in for a more difficult ordeal than they can now fathom.
