Host Molly Yeh challenges the gelato makers to catch the essence of a star or popular culture symbol in a new as well as innovative ice cream flavor, motivated by the direction provided from the star themselves. In each episode, the competitors make use of a particularly constructed gelato lab on the Ben & Jerry's factory grounds in Waterbury, Vermont. After creating their creations, the competitors struck the streets to have the public elect their favored taste, with the winner earning resistance from removal.
