Blackstone is a Canadian television series that airs on Showcase and APTN. Ron E. Scott wrote, conceived, directed, and produced the series, which began filming its eight episodes and pilot in and around Edmonton, Alberta, in 2010. The second season of the series has completed, and a third season is in the works. Blackstone explores the life of the Blackstone Indian reservation's inhabitants. The narrative is told from an Aboriginal perspective, and according to Scott, "Blackstone is relevant and relatable in an Aboriginal story world, with universal themes and conflicts that are not only relatable to some First Nations living today, but also to the world of politics and power in general." Nathaniel Arcand, Justin Rain, and Carmen Moore were all featured in the 2010 film Two Indians Talking. Eric Schweig, Andrea Menard, Michelle Thrush, Roseanne Supernault, Steven Cree Molison, Ashely Callabull, Michael Holden, and Gordon Tootoosis are among the additional cast members.
