Joe Murray is the mind behind the creation of the American animated television series Camp Lazlo! The first episode of the series was broadcast in the United States on July8,2005, while its debut in the United Kingdom took place on November1, 2005. The show takes place at a summer camp that is similar to that of the Boy Scouts and is populated by anthropomorphic animal characters. It also contains a "retro" style of humor and silliness, similar to that of Murray's previous series, Rocko's Modern Life, which was broadcast on Nickelodeon ten years earlier.
