Chronicle
Krniken is a Danish television drama that aired on Sunday evenings between January 2004 and January 2007. The 22-episode series follows the lives of two fictional families as the Danmarks Radio television network evolved from the 1950s to the 1970s. Stig Thorsbe created the series for the DR broadcast-television network, which premiered on January 4, 2004. The first season of the show set ratings records. Five of the episodes were among the top ten most watched television shows in Denmark since records began in 1992. With 2,717,000 viewers, the inaugural season finale topped the list. The show was nominated for an International Emmy Award for Best Drama in2004, but lost to Waking the Dead. The series closed with the 22nd episode, which aired on January1,2007, and was seen by 2.4 million people.
