Disco
Disco ran on ZDF from 1971 to 1982. Each 45-minute episode broadcast on the first Saturday of each month at 7:30pm. 133 show were made. Ilja Richter hosted. 4-3-2-1 Hot & Sweet broadcast on ZDF from 1966 to 1970 with Ilja Richter and Suzanne Doucet. Disco offered a younger, pop-oriented audience than ZDF's Hitparade. Until1972, Beat-Club and Musikladen on ARD were its major competitors. Since1989, when 3sat stopped airing Disco, ZDF Musikkanal has broadcast repeats. Since2004, ZDF Theaterkanal has aired series repeats. In2007, ZDF Dokukanal began airing reruns, beginning with 1975 episodes, while hit24 aired repeated repetitions in 2008. The show featured current chart hits, including international pop and German Schlager. Despite its moniker, it featured many chart-relevant disco singles.
