Fawlty Towers
Fawlty Towers is a BBC sitcom that aired in 1975 and 1979 on BBC2. Made 12 episodes. John Cleese and Connie Booth, who both starred, wrote the show. Fawlty Towers is set in Torquay, on the "English Riviera." The plots revolve around tense, harsh, and put-upon hotel owner Basil Fawlty, his domineering wife Sybil, normal chambermaid Polly, and hapless Spanish waiter Manuel and their attempts to run the hotel amid comedic situations and oddball guests. Fawlty Towers was awarded the best British TV series ever by industry professionals in 2000.
