Food Safari is an Australian television series that first aired on SBS TV Australia and focuses on the various cuisines introduced to Australia by its immigrants. Kismet Productions collaborated with SBS TV Australia to produce the series. Each episode is hosted by Maeve O'Meara and focuses on a different culture's cuisine. It usually begins with regularly used ingredients and where to get them in Australia, then moves on to the creation and consumption of popular favorites, basic dishes, and desserts. After the third series aired, the series was paused in 2008, with a spin-off series, Italian Food Safari, premiering in 2010 and hosted by O'Meara and chef Guy Grossi. O'Meara and chef Guillaume Brahimi co-hosted a second spin-off series, French Food Safari, which aired in 2011. Food Safari has been renewed for a fourth season, which will begin on February 14, 2013.
