Geordie Shore
MTV is the home of the British reality show Geordie Shore, which airs in the United Kingdom. It debuted on May 24, 2011, in Newcastle upon Tyne, and it is the British spin-off of the American show Jersey Shore. Jersey Shore first aired on MTV in the United States. "Geordie" is the regional nickname and dialect given to the people of the Tyneside area of North East England. It is closely connected with the city of Newcastle upon Tyne and its environs, which is where the show is based. "Geordie" is also the name of the program. Nevertheless, the show features cast members from from a variety of locations across North East England.
