A father and daughter play hide-and-seek in an ordinary-looking apartment. While looking for his daughter, he can't find her anywhere... Later, a video of the girl carrying a sign with a mystery sequence of numbers is shared online. But what did they mean? She is the first of several children in a small industrial town who have vanished without a trace. Varta Naumova and Maksim Shumov, two young detectives, take on a complicated case and... their own demons. Varta is quiet and very protective of her own space, while Maksim seems like a friendly, easy-going person. Both of them have been hurt in the past, so this case hits them more deeply. As they deal with their own pasts, they become personally invested in finding the kids and catching the kidnapper.
