The InSecurity television series is an action comedy that hails from Canada. The plot of the series revolves around a group of spies who work for a fictional version of the Canadian National Intelligence and Security Agency. The action of the show takes place in Ottawa, although production mostly takes place in Regina. On January 4, 2011, the first season of the show, which consisted of 13 episodes, made its debut. It was then followed by a second season that also consisted of ten episodes before being canceled by CBC on April19, 2012 owing to budget cuts that were included in the 2012 Canadian government budget. It was described by one of the writers as "24 without Jack Bauer; CSI without the science; and James Bond-if James Bond were Mr. Bean." One of the producers referred to it as "the 24 of Canada."
