Iron Chef America
Iron Chef America: The Series is the second American adaptation of Fuji Television's Iron Chef after the disastrous Iron Chef USA. The show is produced by Food Network, which previously aired the first Iron Chef. Like the Japanese original, it's a cooking game show. In each episode, a new challenger chef competes against one of the resident "Iron Chefs" in a one-hour cooking competition based on a secret ingredient and sometimes theme. The show is a sequel to Iron Chef, not a remake. The Chairman is played by actor and martial artist Mark Dacascos, the nephew of Takeshi Kaga. Alton Brown provides the analysis, and Kevin Brauch covers the floor. Craig Marks composed "Iron Chef America & The Next Iron Chef" in 2010. Ted Allen, a regular ICA judge and Chopped host, offered floor commentary for Battle First Thanksgiving and Battle White House Produce.
